YOU HAVE AN ONGOING PART ALONGSIDE THE NEW EARLS PARK CHAIRMAN, GARRY RYAN. TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER:
I play the new, much younger girlfriend of Garry Ryan who the new owner of Earls Park and he is a really sleazy character! There are plenty of parties with sex, drugs and rock and roll! As Garry is an aged rock star, Keeley latches on to him in the hope she will kick start her pop star career. I suppose Keeley can see that Garry can further her career - it's no secret Garry likes girls, but this doesn't bother Keeley.
DOES KEELEY HAVE MUCH TO DO WITH THE "WIVE CHARACTERS"?
Keeley goes to parties, weddings, funerals, basically all the social gatherings where the wives are. I'm not sure if the wives like Keeley, perhaps they feel jealous or threatened by her as she is younger than they are and a glamour pin-up. And even though she's with Garry, they're not married so she poses a threat to the wives, especially as she's a huge flirt! Also I'm sure the wives don't agree with her very 'liberal' lifestyle!
TELL US ABOUT THE AUDITION PROCESS?
I've been a professional model for eight years, and made my name through "Page 3". Footballers' Wives was looking for someone to play Keeley and approached my agent, Samantha Bond and I fitted the bill! Also just before filming Footballers' Wives I had only just returned to modelling after a 3 year gap. I was in a girlband called "Tantalise" managed by Richard Park (Fame Academy) and we were signed to Universal Records. So, I think that helped as Keeley is meant to be an up and coming singer. I also wrote all the songs for Tantalise and have 2 albums worth of material.
YOU HAVE DONE LOTS OF RAUNCHY PHOTO SHOOTS IN THE PAST, HAVE YOU HAD ANY REVEALING SCENES IN FOOTBALLERS' WIVES?
I was a page 3 girl for four years, and still have a huge following which is brilliant. I have a website. I've modelled for most of the lad mags including FHM, Loaded, Front, Ice, Nuts, Zoo in swimwear/lingerie. I've also done billboards and ad campaigns. One billboard featuring my bum got banned for causing car crashes. Whoops! Ha ha. Keeley is very similar to me, she is a glamour pin-up, who dresses very revealingly and likes to have fun!
HAVE YOU ENJOYED YOUR TIME ON FOOTBALLERS' WIVES?
I absolutely loved filming Footballers' Wives! It's totally glamorous, the hair, make-up, clothes - I love it all. The cast and crew were all so down to earth and friendly. It was a really relaxed atmosphere but we always got the job done and I think the program works really well.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING IN FOOTBALLERS' WIVES?
The best thing about being in Footballers' Wives was working with such a wonderful bunch of cast and crew as well as some big name British actors. It was weird for me having grown up watching most of our cast on various T.V programmes then actually getting to work with them. Oh and the food on set was amazing. I would become as fat as a pig if I filmed there all the time!
WHAT HAS BEEN THE WORST?
I can't think of anything I didn't like apart from the early mornings. I'm really not an early morning person.
HAVE YOU DONE MUCH ACTING BEFORE THIS ROLE?
I grew up in Australia and went to a stage school called "Hollywoods Show Biz Kidz". We would rehearse shows all week then perform at weekends in shopping malls and fairs. But through modelling I've had lots more opportunities to act.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST ACTING ROLE?
I have had a few small film parts. My first was a spoof comedy called "Never say, never mind". More recently I did "A Thoughtful Man" by Cristian Solimeno (he was Jason Turner in Footie Wives). And I start a vampire film in a few weeks time for MTV.
YOU PLAY AN UP AND COMING SINGER IN THE SERIES - HAVE YOU DONE ANY SINGING BEFORE?
Yes, I had the experience doing "Hollywood Show Biz Kidz" when I was younger. I was also in a girl band called "Tantalise" which was signed to Universal/Mercury Records under the management of Richard Park (Fame Academy). I worked with some top producers like Cut Father & Joe, Babyface, George Corante who produced Janet Jackson. I also did club tours, radio tours and summer road shows including Summer XS at Milton with 75,000 people and I performed with Blue, Atomic Kitten, Sugarbabes and more! Also I've had 2 videos on MTV as well as 2 singles and an album.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO PURSUE YOUR OWN SINGING CAREER A BIT MORE?
Music was the love of my life and it broke my heart when everything went wrong with the band - I was devastated. It's taken me two years to try to come to terms with what happened. I returned to modelling and luckily started to be offered lots of TV and film work. I also launched an official website and online fan club and these things combined have helped me move forward. But sometimes it's hard not to look back at all that hard work and think what if? I still would love a career in music and I still write. And there's no greater buzz than performing in front of 75,000 people including TV cameras so I would love to do that again.
YOU ARE A WELL KNOWN MODEL. ARE YOU STILL MODELLING OR HAVE YOU MOVED OVER IN TO ACTING?
Well I don't do as much modelling these days and I'm getting older! I suppose my priority definitely lies within TV, though not just acting. I would also like to present but who knows what will happen. But one thing is for sure I will never put all my eggs in one basket ever again like I did with music. My motto for life now is to "multi-task"!
WHAT IS THE MOST REVEALING PHOTO SHOOT YOU HAVE EVER DONE?
I guess I am best known for my four years as a "Page 3" girl. I have done photo shoots with all the lads mags and have always done very sexy photos. Glamorous and beautiful but not tacky. I haven't get met Hugh Hefner - but I'd love to! It's an ambition of mine to be a Playboy Playmate.
IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULDN'T DO IN A PHOTO SHOOT?
I would do Playboy which is classic nude, but I'd never do legs akimbo porn-style! That's just vulgar. I admire photographers like Ellen Von Unwerth but would never do anything that degrades women.
DO YOU THINK THERE ARE ANY SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THE MODELLING AND ACTING INDUSTRIES?
I think there are definitely similarities between modelling and acting. They both require expression and role play. I've modelled for years and believe it has enhanced me as an artist. It annoys me when people give models a hard time if they try to break in to something else. Most models see modelling the way I do and always "as a stepping stone" and a lot of models are business women these days.
HAS YOUR MODELLING EXPERIENCE BEEN HELPFUL IN THIS ROLE?
Yes, my modelling experience has definitely helped in this Footie Wives role as my character wears very little! And maybe if I'd never done modelling I wouldn't have the confidence to carry off such a character!
TELL US ABOUT KEELEY'S OUTFITS?
My outfits in Footballers' Wives are amazing, there isn't a lot of fabric though! The first thing I did on set when I arrived to start shooting my scenes was to go straight to the costume department (which is like "Aladdin's cave" with everything covered in diamantes, sequins and glitz). My favourite was a see through pink lace dress I wore to a garden party. Very risque!
HAVE YOU FILMED A MEMORABLE SCENE YET?
The whole new series is filled with memorable scenes - more sex, drugs and rock and roll then ever! I don't want to give too much away, you'll have to watch to find out.
WHAT OTHER PROJECTS ARE YOU WORKING ON AT THE MOMENT?
I started my career at college and university studying fashion design actually. I have a clothing label where I just make one-offs for celebrity and model pals but I plan to launch it BIG this year. I have a film being released that I starred in and I have a MTV film to shoot called "Vampire Slayers". And I have invested in a publishing company and am currently working on the first title which is a guide to secret London called "London after Dark".
WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR CAREER TO BE IN FIVE YEARS?
I'm a business woman at heart and so five years from now I hope to be well on my way to establishing my empire! He he. I would hope my clothing label and my publishing company are very successful. Hopefully there will be lots more TV roles and perhaps some presenting work. It would be nice to squeeze in a "settling down" period in - marriage, kids - all those normal things people do that I haven't gotten around to just yet!
DO YOU GO OUT TO CELEB PARTIES/EVENTS MOST NIGHTS OR ARE YOU THE SIT-AT-HOME TYPE?
I used to be a big party girl. And I still I am I suppose. It's the nature of my business and I'm a real girly-girl. I love nothing more than getting dressed up and hitting the West End. But these days I've learnt to balance my life a little better and enjoy a good meal or a DVD with Chinese by the fire. I must be getting old...
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO RELAX?
I don't relax as often as I should but I enjoy cooking at home and I don't watch much TV but I I am a huge fan of Bad Girls and Midsommer Murders. I also have a hot tub in my garden which gets used at my wild house parties but I some times I do find the time to relax in it with a bottle of wine.
ARE YOU SINGLE/MARRIED/IN A RELATIONSHIP?
I'm currently in a relationship with a man called Mark Cleary, we met on a TV Show I filmed for Sky One last summer called "The Ultimate Playboy". We lived in a 19 million pound villa in Antibes, south of France, last summer and I did some judging/presenting with Jodie Kidd.
WHAT IS YOUR AGE?
I'm 27 years old.
