Sal Biagi

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER.
Biagi came to Earls Park from an Italian side in the last series. He's very sentimental. He's also stubborn and he has a lot of pride. In this series, they are showing his vulnerable and emotional sides - which might help viewers feel sorry for him. At least that's what we planned to show.

WHAT'S THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING IN FOOTBALLERS' WIVES?
Working with a great crew, some good directors, and a cast which I get along with. I've made some close friends among them.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER?
I like his pride, especially when he's up against Jason - he really stands up to him, particularly in this second series.

WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER?
His relationships with women. I don't think he handles them well. And I certainly don't like the way he went behind his friend Ian's back and started shagging his wife!

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR CHARACTER AT ALL? HOW DO YOU THINK YOU WOULD GET ON WITH THEM IF YOU MET THEM IN REAL LIFE?
I'm nothing like him in any way! I do think that I would get along with him, but I don't think we'd be great friends. We're too different.

DO YOU LIKE THE CLOTHES THAT YOUR CHARACTER WEARS? WOULD YOU WEAR THEM AS YOURSELF?
Yes, I do like the clothes Sal wears. I'd wear some of them. In fact, I think I'd wear most of them.

WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY THINK OF YOUR ROLE IN FOOTBALLERS' WIVES?
They like football and they like the programme but they think Sal is a bit of a clown in many ways because he says stupid things that do him no favours - like showing how he dislikes England in front of all the wrong people. He whinges a lot. He's also a bit of a backstabber. A lot of people find him a bit slimy. But because I'm nothing like him, my friends and family really enjoy seeing me play the part.

HOW DO PEOPLE REACT TO YOU ON THE STREET? DO YOU GET RECOGNISED?
I don't get recognised that much so I don't really get disturbed. But I'm always flattered by people approaching me. It's that I keep very much to myself so usually, I don't notice the people around me when I'm out and about in the world.

WHAT SCENE HAVE YOU MOST ENJOYED OR HATED FILMING SO FAR (IN EITHER SERIES ONE OR TWO)?
There was a very confrontational scene with Ian (Nathan Constance) which I hated. It was just because I didn't like the way Sal handled the situation at all.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR CHARACTER'S HOUSE? AND THE CARS? DO YOU THINK YOU'D LIKE TO LIVE THAT SORT OF LIFESTYLE?
There are some good sides to that sort of lifestyle - but there are also other negative sides to it of course that I wouldn't like. But I like his car, very much!

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?
I read, and I paint. I watch films a lot, see friends, listen to music a lot. I do go out to a few sociable parties. But I don't stay for long...
